Thank you parents and students!
The faculty and staff would like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to Susan Tilkian, Angie Nowak, Teresa Schultz, Odette Pinto, and Mariana Maloney for organizing this year's red carpet Oscar themed Teacher Appreciation Week! From all the special treats and decorations, the wonderful teacher luncheon and the breakfast goodies and smoothies, we are very grateful for all the hard work and time you spent making it such a special week for all of us! We would also like to thank all the families and parents who sent in gifts for the teachers this week, helped with the decorations, and covered recess during lunch on Thursday so that the staff and faculty could eat together. Your thoughtfulness made us all feel very much appreciated! Thank you again!
Used Uniform Sale on May 29th - flyer attached
The school will host an end of the year uniform sale on Wednesday, May 29th. It will be held in the school lobby from 8:00 until 3:30 p.m. We are looking to sell uniform jumpers, skirts, spiritwear, and gently used sweatshirts. We will not be taking any boys or girls uniform pants or shirts for this sale. Uniforms should be dropped off by Tuesday, May 28th. Please make sure to clearly label each item with your name and the amount you are asking and complete the attached form to turn in with your items.
Field Day - May 29th
St. Catherine's School will be having it's annual Field Day for all students on Wednesday, May 29th for students in 1st - 7th grade. Students should wear the following colors to represent their class: 
7th Grade - Green,  6th Grade - Royal Blue,  5th Grade - Red,  4th Grade - Purple,  3rd Grade - Yellow, 2nd Grade - Sky Blue/Teal, 1st Grade - Orange If you need to purchase a new t-shirt to represent your class color, Hobby Lobby is selling Gildan Youth & Adult T-shirts for $2.79 each. PK classes and Kindergarten will have their own field day events on a different day. Please watch for more information in your teacher's weekly newsletter. 
Chili's "Dine to Donate" during the month of May (vouchers attached)
St. Catherine's Home and School has partnered with Chili's Restaurants in West Dundee, Algonquin, and South Elgin to offer a month long "Dine to Donate" fundraiser. From May 1st - May 31st, Chili's will donate 15% of food sales back to our Home and School when you use one of the attached Chili vouchers. All proceeds from this month long event will go towards Home and School's school improvement projects, and other important items for our students! Offer is valid for Dine In or To Go orders. Please share the extra vouchers attached to this dialogue with friends and family. Thank you!
2019-2020 School Calendar (attachment)
The 2019-2020 School Calendar is now available and is attached to this Dialogue. It is also available on our St. Catherine's homepage at under the "Our School" link at the top of the page. Please print out a copy for your records.
Lunchroom help needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays
We are currently in need of extra helpers in the lunchroom on Tuesday and Thursdays until the end of the year. If you are able to help out, please contact Nora Duran at or contact the school office. Volunteers are needed from 11:30 - 12:30 pm. Thank you!
Variety Show on May 29th
Thank you to all the students who came out to audition for this year's Variety Show! We have so many great acts that will be part of the show this year! The show will take place on Wednesday, May 29th at 1:00 pm. Please mark your calendars for this fun event! If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Johnson at Looking forward to a great show!
Brick Party on Thursday, May 16th
Come join us on Thursday, May 16th at 5:30 PM for Home and School's Summer Sendoff and Brick Party Picnic in the school parking lot. Home and School will be taking orders for tribute/memorial bricks for the sidewalk in front of our school. The cost for each brick is $100.00 and sample bricks will be available for viewing. Home and School will provide hot dogs and Icee freeze pops but feel free to bring your own sides and beverages. Hope to see you there!
Athletic Awards Ceremony, May 15th
St. Catherine's Athletics will be hosting their annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 15th at 6:30 PM in the school gym. Students who participated in Spirit Squad, Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Boys Volleyball, Girls Basketball, and Boys Basketball will be recognized at this event. Please mark your calendars for this event.
Bus Service for the 2019-2020 school year (Registration form attached)
D300 will continue to provide afternoon bus service for our students for the 2019-2020 school year. If your child is currently riding the bus or if you are interested in bus service for next year, please complete the attached bus form and return it to school by Friday, May 17th. In order for students to be eligible for bus service, they must live within certain D300 school boundaries. If you have questions about eligibility for the bus based on where you live, please contact the school office and we will verify with D300 if service is available to you.
End of Year Band Concert for St. Catherine Students (flyer attached)
St. Catherine's students who participate in our band program, will be performing at the Wing Park Band Shelter in Elgin on Tuesday, May 21st at 7:00 PM for their end of year concert, "Where Dreams Come True". Please come out to support our students, along with several other local schools, as they share their talents, hard work, and music!
TRIP (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program) - Vendor list attached
Many of our families have been asking which stores and vendors are part of our TRIP program. Attached to this Dialogue is a list of all the stores you can purchase TRIP cards for with the amount of rebate percentage you will earn towards your tuition. Please take some time to look over the list of over 750 stores to see where you can start earning credit towards your child's tuition. 
If you would like to place an order for next week, please use the following link to set up an account and place your order. The code to create an account is 2CL3966D181. Our next order will be placed on Monday, May 6th. Please have your TRIP order payment in the school office by 9:00 AM on Monday, May 6th if you have placed an order. If you have any questions about the program, please contact the school office.
