Virtue for the month of November: Gratitude
A Heartfelt Thank You!
A heartfelt thank you to our Home and School Association and the many volunteers who helped make last weekend's Casino Night a great success! We are very grateful for the talents of the event committee Missy Bluhm, Trisha Carey, Kevin Mallo, Tony Pacione, and Melissa Sanders who created such a fun night for everyone! We are very appreciative of all the time and effort they so generously shared with our school. We would also like to thank Ruth and John Lesniak for helping in so many areas to create our 20's theme and the St. Catherine's Knights of Columbus for manning the bar. Thank you to everyone who donated items for the classroom baskets, raffles, and silent auction items. Special thank you to Neu Family Dental who donated all the food for the evening and Crystal Lake Brewing Company who donated the adult beverages. We would also like to recognize and thank the following businesses and people who sponsored our Casino Night:
Amy Home Services   Elle Salon   Edward Jones
      Epic One Insurance   Mr. Bader
St. Edward High School   Old Town Bank   River Pointe Dental
      Concept Plumbing, Inc.   Hoffman Ortho
Fraser Wealth Management   Laird Funeral Home   Anonymous Sponsor
Your support is greatly appreciated!

Transportation Survey
The Education Commission has been working to try and offer morning transportation for our students. In order to move forward with our discussions, we need help from all of you! If you could take a few minutes to complete our survey, it would be very helpful. Even if you don’t plan on using morning transportation, please take a moment to answer the questions. We only need one person from each family to complete the survey and please have it filled out by Friday, November 15 . Click HERE to begin the survey. If you have any questions, please contact Marcy Wenderski at wenderskim@gmail.com. Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey!
NCEA Parent Newsletter (attached)
Attached to this Dialogue please find a copy of the NCEA's latest newsletter. The season of Advent will be here very soon and the article offers several suggestions of ways to keep the season's religious traditions alive in the midst of the hectic holiday schedules. Some ideas are to make an advent wreath  together as a family, setting up the nativity, singing Christmas carols, and preparing the manger for the baby Jesus.  Taking time to celebrate the season of Advent will truly help prepare our hearts, home, and family for the joyous celebration of Christmas.
Cold weather reminder
Now that the cold weather has arrived, we would like to remind parents to make sure your child(ren) are dressed properly for outside recess with hats, mittens or gloves, winter coat, and boots, if needed. Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade go outside daily for 20 minutes after lunch. Let's do our best to keep everyone warm!
Pennies for Pies is Back!!
NJHS is once again sponsoring the Pennies for Pies contest in each classroom. The contest ended today but if you would still like to make a donation to help purchase pies, please send in your donation to the school office by Monday, November 18th. All money collected from the contest will go towards purchasing pies for F.I.S.H. Food Pantry. These pies will be included in Thanksgiving dinners for less fortunate families. Thank you for your support!
Candy for the Troops
Please send to school any extra/unwanted Halloween candy to be donated and shipped to our active duty service members around the world. Candy donated by St. Catherine students will then be packed and taken to a drop-off location to be shipped to the men & women serving our country. Please consider donating candy to this worthy cause.

Save money on your tuition! (Order form attached)
It's a great time to stock up on gift cards for your Thanksgiving dinner! Consider ordering gift cards for Jewel, Woodman's, Baker's Square, Binny's, Target, or Walmart. Why not save money on tuition for things you will be already be buying?
For a limited time, we are attaching paper order forms to the Dialogue for you to use in placing TRIP orders. Please use this form to place and order any gifts cards you would like to purchase. The form, along with payment, should be returned to the school office on Monday mornings by 9:00 AM so that we can submit your order to the Scrip Center. Cards will be sent home with students on Wednesdays. This will hopefully give families the opportunity to try out the TRIP program to see how easy and convenient it is to save on tuition. This paper option will be available through December to help you with all your Holiday shopping.
However, if you would like to place an order online or set up a TRIP account, please use the following link https://www.shopwithscrip.com.
