Stations of the Cross will be offered every Friday during Lent at 2:15 PM and 7:00 PM beginning Friday, March 8th. All are welcome to attend.
Important Information for Parents - Letter Attached
We would like to make parents aware of a disturbing current internet trend that elementary and high school students may be unintentionally exposed to when being on the internet. Please take a few minutes to read through the attached letter that Superintendent Fred Heid from D300 emailed to all parents yesterday regarding this situation.   
Celebrate National Pi Day! - order form attached
Celebrate National Pi Day on March 14th with a slice of pie! All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the 5th grade Camp Ed's field trip. Pie slices will be served during lunch and are available in apple, cherry, or chocolate silk. Order forms were sent home with students today and must be returned to school by Friday, March 8th. Whole pies are also available for purchase and can be picked up on March 14th at 2:45 pm in the school lobby.   
Through the Decades Dress Down Day
Student Council is sponsoring a Through the Decades dress down day on Friday, March 8.  Students should wear clothing to represent a decade. For example, you can jeans, white t-shirt, and leather jacket to represent the 1950's, or you could wear bell bottom pants and a floral print shirt to represent the 1970’s. Student Council representatives will be around to collect money each morning next week, starting on Monday, March 4. Please remember to follow the dress down day guidelines in the handbook. The cost is  $1 to participate, and all money raised will be donated to JDRF.   
Spring Band Concert for St. Catherine Students - Flyer attached
St. Catherine's students who participate in our band program, will be performing at Einstein Academy in Elgin on Tuesday, March 5th at 7:00 PM for their Spring concert. Please come out to support our students, along with several other local schools, as they share their talents, hard work, and music!
7th and 8th Grade Dance at St. Laurence  
St. Laurence School will be hosting a dance for all students in 7th and 8th grade on Friday, March 15th from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM. The cost for the dance is $5.00 and light refreshments will be available for purchase. Students will need to present their school ID for entrance to the dance. 
Registration for the 2019-2020 school year
There is still time to register your child(ren) for the 2019-2020 school year. Please login to you Schoolspeak account and click on the link "Register for 2018-2019". This link will take you through the entire registration process.  If you have questions about being able to register for the 2019-2020 school year based on a current outstanding tuition balance, please contact the school office to set up an appointment with Miss Cannon. If you have any other questions about the registration process, please contact Mrs. Wirkus in the school office. 
Girl Scout Cookies still available!
If you haven't had a chance to purchase any girls scout cookies yet (or if you need to purchase more), please stop by to see St. Catherine's Girl Scout Troop in the Narthex this weekend after all Masses. They will be selling all your favorites! Thank you for helping to support our school troop!
TRIP (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program)
It's almost Spring!! Time to start Spring cleaning and what better way to do it than by purchasing some gift cards for local vendors such as Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, and Target! Each card will provide a rebate back towards your tuition!  Our next TRIP order will be placed on Monday, 4th but you can always purchase Scripnow cards online and use them right away. Create your own online TRIP account by signing up at https://www.shopwithscrip.com/. The code to create an account is 2CL3966D181. Thom McNamee Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Have you ever marched in a St. Patrick’s Day parade? Now’s your chance! This year our school will again take part in the annual Thom McNamee Memorial St. Patrick’s Day parade held in East Dundee! We are hoping for LOTS of our students to join in the fun! The parade will take place on Saturday, March 9 at 11:15 a.m. Let’s show our St. Catherine of Siena School pride! Parents are welcome to join in the fun as well. Those that have participated in the past have had a great time. Get together with your scout group, basketball team, volleyball team, classmates etc… and join us! Students from all grade levels are encouraged to participate. Bring a bag or two of candy to distribute along our parade route! Please contact Mrs. Johnson to let her know if you will be marching. More detailed information will be sent out as to the parade route and our parade number. St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Dance - registration form attached
Come on out to St. Catherine's on Saturday, March 9th for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner/Dance sponsored by the Knights of Columbus! This is a wonderful family event so bring the kids and make a night of it! There will be great food, fun, dancing and entertainment!!
