Thank you to Mr. Bernhard and all the students for the very enjoyable Christmas program they performed for the school families last night! A wonderful time was had by all in attendance, and we are definitely in the Christmas spirit now! We would like to thank the teachers and staff for working with their students to help prepare them for the program. A special thank you the following parent volunteers, Mrs. Anaya, Mrs. Griffin, and Mr. Acevedo, for their assistance to Mr. Bernhard with costumes and technical aspects the night of the program. Thank you for all your hard work!

Snow Day Makeup Date
Due to the unexpected snow day this past Monday, we have decided to make up the missed day of school on Wednesday, April 24. We were scheduled to have a teacher institute day, but we will now have a regularly scheduled school day. Please mark your calendars with the updated information.

Breakfast with Baby Jesus
A very heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Krenz, Mrs. Robertson and their committee for the wonderful job they did hosting our annual Breakfast with Baby Jesus event last Saturday! What a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season and share some fellowship with members of our school and parish community.

We would also like to thank Fr. DeBlock for his opening prayer, Miss Cannon for reading a Christmas story to the children, Mrs. Chmielewski for helping her students make some of the decorations for the breakfast, Mrs. Oskorep for making the table centerpieces, Jason Jardiel and Ava Getenby in their roles as Joseph and Mary, our three kings: Brendan Mangan, Evan and Mikala Amegasse, our Spirit Squad helpers, and our band members led by Maxine Lange for their musical performance. A special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Smith for sharing baby Lucy as our baby Jesus!

Pictures needed for our School Yearbook!
This is a plea for your help!!!!! I am working on the 2018-19 yearbook and I am in desperate need of pictures from you. Any photos of classroom parties, any school events, and/or sporting events are needed to fill the pages of our upcoming yearbook. I would greatly appreciate any contributions. Photos can be submitted via email if you have a few that you want to share. If you have a larger number of photos to share, then you could also send them to school copied to a flash drive or CD and mark them to the attention Mrs. Oskorep. I will be prompt in copying the images and returning the materials to you. (If you wish to send actual photos, then I can scan them and return the photos to you.) PLEASE submit your images as soon as possible.

Morning Spartan Care Program
The before school program continues to grow and is going very well. We consistently have students on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but have not had very many students on Mondays or Fridays. With this in mind, rather than canceling the program on Monday and Fridays, Mrs. Cunningham who runs the program is willing to have early morning care on Monday and Friday on an as needed basis. If you want to drop your child off on Monday, please let Mrs. Cunningham know via email at saxymarine00@yahoo.com before noon on Sunday. If you want to come on Friday morning, please email her before noon on Thursday. We are happy that this program is helping the families who need child-care before school. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will continue as a drop in program and Monday and Friday will be available if you notify Mrs. Cunningham in advance.

In this unit, students will design, build, and test various circuits and electronic projects. Students will use hands-on projects and experiments to explore how electricity is part of our daily lives. Registration is required for the class. There is a discount for students registered by January 7th, 2019. The class begins on January 17th and will meet on Thursdays. Please see the attached flyer for more information about the program.
