A Heartfelt Thank You!
A heartfelt thank you to our Home and School Association and the many volunteers who helped make last weekend's Trivia Night a great success! We are very appreciative of all the time and effort they so generously share with our school. It looks like it was one of our best Trivia Nights ever! Thank you to everyone who donated items for the classroom baskets, raffles, and silent auction items. Special thank you to Neu Family Dental who donated all the food for the evening and Crystal Lake Brewing Company who donated the adult beverages. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on Tuesday, November 20th from 12:30 pm - 8:00 pm. The link to sign up for conferences is now open and is available under the "Quick Links" found on your Schoolspeak account. Please make sure to sign up soon as spots fill up quickly.  This year Mrs. Jordan, Mr. Marlin, and Mrs. Garrigan are meeting with every parent in their homeroom. The students should attend the conferences with their parent(s). The expectation is that all parents meet with their child's homeroom teacher. You may also sign up to see Mrs. Ruden. The time slots are for ten minutes.  If you would like to speak to your child's teacher who is not the homeroom teacher, please email that teacher directly and set up a time with him/her.   Students in grades PK4 - 5th will not participate in the conference with their parents and teacher. The last day to sign up for conferences will be Friday, November 16th.

Pennies for Pies is Back!!
NJHS is once again sponsoring the  Pennies for Pies contest in each classroom. The contest began on Monday, November 5th and will go through Friday, November 16th. Students are invited to contribute money to the Pennies for Pies containers in their classrooms. All money collected from the contest will go towards purchasing pies for F.I.S.H. Food Pantry. These pies will be included in Thanksgiving dinners for less fortunate families. The class contributing the most money will get a special dessert at lunch!

Cold weather reminder
Now that snowflakes are in the air, we would like to remind parents to make sure your child(ren) are dressed properly for outside recess with hats, mittens or gloves, winter coat, and boots if needed. Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade go outside daily for 20 minutes after lunch. Let's do our best to keep everyone warm!

Thank you so much in advance. If your child has not signed up for a Mass time, but he/she is still interested in helping, please send Mrs. Johnson an email at johnsonmp@st-cath.net so she knows what Mass to expect your child(ren). 3rd Grade Candy for the Troops Project

Please send to school any extra/unwanted Halloween candy to be donated and shipped to our active duty service members around the world. A blue bin labeled “Candy for the Troops” will be in the school lobby from Thursday, November 1st until Monday, November 12th. Candy and cards made by St. Catherine students will then be packed and taken to a drop-off location to be shipped to the men & women serving our country. Tuition Reduction Incentive Program - Updated order form attached
It's a great time to stock up on gift cards for your Thanksgiving dinner and Black Friday shopping! Consider ordering gift cards for Jewel, Woodman's, Baker's Square, Binny's, Target, or Walmart. Why not save money on tuition for things you will be already be buying?

For a limited time, we are attaching paper order forms to the Dialogue for you to use in placing TRIP orders. Please use this form to order any gifts cards you would like to purchase. The form, along with payment, should be returned to the school office on Monday mornings by 9:00 AM so that we can submit your order to the Scrip Center. Cards will be sent home with students on Thursdays. This will hopefully give families an opportunity to try out the TRIP program to see how easy and convenient it is to save on tuition. This paper option will be available through December to help you with all your Holiday shopping.

However, if you would like to place an order online or set up a TRIP account, please use the following link https://www.shopwithscrip.com. You will need the school code "2CL3966D181" in order to link your account to St. Catherine's so that you will start receiving credit on your tuition for orders. Our next order will be placed on Monday, November 12th. Please have your payment into the school office by 9:00 am or pay online with your presto pay account. If you have any questions about how to use this program, please contact the school office.
