the teachers will be attending a workshop at St. Patrick’s School in St. Charles. The teachers will be meeting with other deanery teachers from their grade level or in Junior High if they teach the same subject. The meeting with be led by Fr. Paul Sims. He is going to focus on instructional strategies and assessment. We look forward to the opportunity for our teachers to continue to hone their teaching skills.
the PLACE that night!
This year, starting in October, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, we are opening the gym up to 1st and 2nd grade students. Students will be allowed to go into the gym anytime between 8:00 and 8:15. Once in the gym they will have the privilege to participate in a morning workout. Research shows that physical activity helps the brain prepare for learning.
You will be able drop your child off in the back of the school and the supervisors will direct your child to the gym. A morning workout will begin once inside the gym. I want to emphasize that this will not be an organized game but it will be an organized & fun time for some morning exercises.
This is a completely optional opportunity for your child to participate in. There will be no changes to your morning student drop off location. The only change will be that once your child arrives to school, s/he will be allowed to go into the gym and begin a morning workout.
