Safe environment letter to Parents - see attachment
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) promulgated, in October of 1987, the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), 40 C.F.R. Part 763, to which this law regulates asbestos containing building materials in schools. In compliance with this law, the Rockford Diocese hired Cape Environmental Management to inspect and write management plans for our parish schools. This 1988 plan gives us additional guidelines for our Operations and Maintenance. A Management Plan is on file at the school office for your inspection. If you have any questions pertaining to our program, please contact the Diocese of Rockford at 815-399-4300 ext. 359. For more information, please see the attached letter.

Tracking Service Hours
Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, we are requiring each family to complete 20  hours of service per year to the school. For families with a single parent or guardian and our Pre-school classes, the  obligation is 10 hours per year. It is the parent’s responsibility to report their  service hours on SchoolSpeak (www.schoolspeak.com) as they are completed. It is  important to keep your hours up-to-date so the hours can be managed appropriately.  There are many opportunities needing volunteer or service hours including activities such as:  Trivia Night, Family Fun Night, Bingo, TRIP, hot lunch, Grandparents’ Day, Catholic Schools  Week, Summer Send Off, Teacher Appreciation Week, coaching, and athletic events to name  a few. Families can track their service hours using the "Track Service Hours" link on the left side of your SchoolSpeak homepage. If you have any problems recording your time on SchoolSpeak, please contact the school office.
