Summer Office Hours:

Beginning Monday, June 4th our summer office hours will be as follows:

June 4th - June 29th Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 am - 12:00 am

Office will be closed from June 29th - August 3rd

August 6th - August 10th Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

August 13th - 17th Normal office hours resume

Wednesday, August 15th Fee Day and Supply Drop Off 2:00 – 5:00 PM

Congratulations to the following students who received special recognition at last week's Graduation Mass
The Claire Motyl Academic Award was awarded to Matthew Novelli and Bianca Garcia for showing a good Christian attitude toward their teachers, classmates, and the St. Catherine of Siena School and parish community. Students receiving this award must consistently show a positive attitude toward learning, demonstrate above average achievement, and consistently model a Christ-like life.
The Domel Award is presented to the boy and girl in 8th grade who have achieved the highest cumulative GPA for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade during their years at St. Catherine's. The Domel Award this year was awarded to Monica Djordjevic and Connor Weydert.
The St. Edward High School Scholarship Foundation awarded a $500.00 scholarship to Jeric Cacal.
The Christian Athlete Award was awarded on our Athletic Award Night to Raja Tilkian and Connor Weydert. The Christian Athlete Award is given to the 8th grade boy and girl who display leadership, sportsmanship and fair play as well as athletic ability. The students who receive this award display these qualities in the gym or playing field as well as the classroom. He and she lead by example and are all-around participants, displaying ability in more than one sport. He or she need not be the star player, but a team player, one who gives to the team and therefore, to the school.
Congratulations to all of these students!
4th Quarter Honor Roll
Congratulations to the following students who achieved First and Second Honors for the 4th Quarter. Students receiving 1st honors must have a GPA of 3.75 - 4.0 for the quarter. Students receiving 2nd honors must have a GPA of 3.5 -3.74. Well done, students!

Thank you from the 8th grade families!
The 8th grade class would like to thank the 7th grade families for the wonderful reception that was provided after the Graduation Mass last Friday. We are very grateful to all the families who helped to organize such a special and thoughtful evening for our families. A special thank you to Susan Holland and Amy O'Brien for chairing the event. We would also like to thank Mrs. Garrigan, Miss Cannon, Father DeBlock, Father Gow, and all the teachers and staff of St. Catherine's for preparing our children to move on to high school. We are very thankful for the time and dedication you have given to our children!
2018-2019 School Calendar - attached
Attached to this Dialogue, please find a copy of the 2018-2019 school calendar. Please print a copy of this calendar for your records.  
Summer is a great time to schedule physicals, dental, and eye appointments for your child for the 2018-2019 school year. Vision forms and physicals are due by the first day of school but can be turned in on Fee Day, August 15th.  Every child entering Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 6 th grade, or school for the first time must have proof of having a health examination and immunization prior to the opening day of school. Forms are to be completed by the doctor are due by Fee Day. Dental exams are required for students in kindergarten, second, and sixth grade and are due in May. Vision examinations by a licensed optometrist are required of students entering Kindergarten and any student enrolling for the first time in an Illinois School. State forms for this exam are due prior to the first day of school.
Facts Tuition Registration now due! 
Registration with FACTS Tuition Management Company for next year's tuition billing is now due. We need all returning school families and new school families to register with FACTS. Please click on the following link to access FACTS and set up your account:https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/41H6Y. If you have not yet registered or have not completed your registration, please do so as soon as possible. Schoolspeak access will be disabled to current school families on Tuesday if your registration has not been submitted.
Grant and Aid Application through FACTS - We have now partnered with FACTS to offer families the option to complete the FACTS Grant and Aid Application for financial assistance. Families interested in seeking aid will need to complete the online application in its entirety and Fr. DeBlock will review your application and determine the amount of aid to be awarded to the applicant. This process will help Fr. DeBlock make a more informed decision when deciding on financial assistance. Miss Cannon emailed a letter to families a few weeks ago which explains in greater detail the grant and aid application process. Please review Miss Cannon's letter to see if applying for the grant and aid may be something you would like to consider for your family.
Volunteers needed for our 6th Annual Parish Picnic - flyer attached
Please join us on Sunday, June 10th for our annual parish picnic. It will begin with an outdoor Mass at 11:30 followed by a picnic lunch which will include a pig roast, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, kid activities, beer tent, DJ and Karaoke, and a bouncy house. We are looking for parent volunteers to help face paint, apply tattoos, run games, and monitor the bouncy house. If you are able to help please contact Missy Bluhm at missyobrienbluhm@yahoo.com. Bus Service Information - Flyer attached
D300 will still provide afternoon bus service for our students for the 2018 - 2019 school year. If your child is currently riding the bus or if you are interested in bus service for next year please complete the attached bus form and return it to school by Friday, May 18th. In order for students to be eligible for bus service they must live within certain D300 school boundaries. If you have any questions about the bus service, please contact the school office.
Summer Volleyball and Basketball Camps at St. Catherine's - registration forms attached
St, Catherine's will be hosting a co-ed volleyball camp this summer for students in 5th-8th grade. Dates for the camp are July 30 - August 3 and will run from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Julia Fahy, head volleyball coach at Judson University, will be running the camp.Please see the attached flyer for more information and to register your child for the camp.
Spartans Summer Basketball Camp will offer a basketball skills program to students entering 2nd - 8th grades. The camp will take place July 23-July 27 and there are three different sessions offered: Junior Spartans for boys and girls entering 2nd- 4th grade, girls entering 5th - 8th grade, and boys entering 5th - 8th grade. Mr. Dagamac, Mr. Ellett, and Mrs. Leadley will be running the camps.
Registration for both camps are due back to the school office by June 1st.
Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)
Summer is here, but you can still accumulate tuition rebates by purchasing cash and carry scrip cards from the school office. If you are a Presto Pay family, you can purchase ScripNow ecards or ReloadNow anytime 24/7 to accumulate tuition rebates. Our next scrip card order will be placed on Monday, August 28th when we return to school. 
To create your own online TRIP and Presto Pay account, sign up at https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ and place an order for next week to start earning money towards your tuition. The code to create an account is 2CL3966D181. The only way to continue receiving tuition rebates during the summer is through Presto Pay. If you are interested in activating the Presto Pay option for your account, simply set it up by following the prompts in your account. Once you get a 4-digit code, send it to the school office via email, to complete the process. You can also reload current scrip cards and shop for ScripNow cards online, anytime.
Spartan Care position available for next year
We are currently looking to hire someone for our after school Spartan Care program for next year. The potential candidate should be available to work 1 or 2 afternoons per week from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. This is a paid position. Please contact Miss Cannon if you are interested in applying for the job.
Uniform Alterations
Do you have a uniform jumper or skirt that is in need of some repairs or alterations? If so, please contact Mrs. Oskorep. For a small fee she can repair or replace zippers, or do other alterations to help extend the investment of your child's uniform. Mrs. Oskorep can be reached at oskorepc@st-cath.net.
