We would like to offer congratulations to our 8th grade students on their graduation from St. Catherine's at tonight's Graduation Mass.
We wish all of you many blessings as you journey on to new schools and endeavors.
May God keep all of you safe and know that we will continue to pray for all of you as you move forward to new and wonderful experiences!

Farewell Reception for Mrs. Rossi
At the end of this year we will be saying goodbye to Mrs. Rossi who has been such a special and important part of our St. Catherine's family for the last 10 years.  Mrs. Rossi's passion for science has helped many of our students achieve high awards at both the regional and state level for Science Fair competitions. Mrs. Rossi is retiring after 40 years of teaching and will be moving to Tennessee this summer with her family. Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Rossi's many years of service for our school at a farewell reception to be held in her honor on Friday, June 1st immediately following Mass and Honor Roll.  
 

Summer Office Hours:

Beginning Monday, June 4th our summer office hours will be as follows:

June 4th - June 29th Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 am - 12:00 am

Office will be closed from June 29th - August 3rd

August 6th - August 10th Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

August 13th - 17th Normal office hours

Wednesday, August 15th Fee Day and Supply Drop Off 2:00 – 5:00 PM

 
Used Uniform Sale on May 30th - flyer attached
The school will host an end of the year uniform sale on Wednesday, May 30. It will be held in the school lobby from 8:00 until 3:30 p.m. We are looking to sell uniform jumpers, skirts, spiritwear, and gently used sweatshirts. We will not be taking any boys uniform pants or shirts for this sale. Uniforms should be dropped off by Tuesday, May 29th. Please make sure to clearly label each item with your name and the amount you are asking and complete the attached form to turn in with your items.
 
FACTS Tuition registration now due!
Registration with FACTS Tuition Management Company for next year's tuition billing is now due. We need all returning school families and new school families to register with FACTS. Please click on the following link to access FACTS and set up your account:https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/41H6Y. If you have not yet registered or have not completed your registration, please do so as soon as possible. Schoolspeak access will be disabled to current school families on Tuesday if your registration has not been submitted. 
 
Grant and Aid Application through FACTS - We have now partnered with FACTS to offer families the option to complete the FACTS Grant and Aid Application for financial assistance. Families interested in seeking aid will need to complete the online application in its entirety and Fr. DeBlock will review your application and determine the amount of aid to be awarded to the applicant. This process will help Fr. DeBlock make a more informed decision when deciding on financial assistance. Miss Cannon emailed a letter to families a few weeks ago which explains in greater detail the grant and aid application process. Please review Miss Cannon's letter to see if applying for the grant and aid may be something you would like to consider for your family.
 
Field Day and All School Picnic
We would like to thank all the volunteers who helped run all the fun, exciting, and wet games for our students during our Field Day yesterday. A very special thank you to Melissa Nosal, Nora Duran, and Malinda Aichholz for co-chairing the event and planning all the activities. A great time was had by all!
 
We would also like to thank Mrs. Rossi and our Student Council members for the picnic lunch they organized for the school. It was a great way to finish off the fun activities from the morning. Thank you to all the families and students who supported Student Council's bake sales and dress down days this year to help fund the picnic. Your support was greatly appreciated! 
 
Vacation Bible School June 4th - June 8th - registration form attached
There’s still time to register for Marvelous Mystery, this year’s Vacation Bible School, June 48, 9:00 AM 12:00 noon, for grades PreK 4 through 6th. Come join the fun! Registration forms are attached to this Dialogue. Please complete and return to the Religious Education office as soon as possible.
 
Volunteers needed for our 6th Annual Parish Picnic - flyer attached 
Please join us on Sunday, June 10th for our annual parish picnic. It will begin with an outdoor Mass at 11:30 followed by a picnic lunch which will include a pig roast, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, kid activities, beer tent, DJ and Karaoke, and a bouncy house. We are looking for parent volunteers to help face paint, apply tattoos, run games, and monitor the bouncy house. If you are able to help please contact Missy Bluhm at missyobrienbluhm@yahoo.com. St. Edward High School Summer Camps - Information attached
St. Edward High School is offering several camps this summer from sports to music. Please check out last week's Dialogue for more information the St. Edward's camp schedule. Camps are available to students entering Kindergarten - high school.
 
ST. EDWARD HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH CHEER CAMP
Monday, June 25 - Friday June 29
5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.
$65 (includes t-shirt & cheer bow)
During this 5-day camp, learn cheers, dances, and stunts from ASEP-certified coaches and the St. Edward High School cheerleaders. Show off your new skills with a performance at the end of the week! 
 
Bus Service Information - Flyer attached
Thursday, May 24th will be the last day bus service will be available for our students for this school year. Please make sure to have alternate transportation arrangements for your child(ren) beginning Friday, May 25th.
D300 will still provide afternoon bus service for our students for the 2018 - 2019 school year. If your child is currently riding the bus or if you are interested in bus service for next year please complete the attached bus form and return it to school by Friday, May 18th. In order for students to be eligible for bus service they must live within certain D300 school boundaries. If you have any questions about the bus service, please contact the school office.
 
Last few days to participate in Chili's "Dine to Donate" during the month of May - vouchers attached
St. Catherine's Home and School has partnered with Chili's Restaurants in West Dundee, Algonquin, and South Elgin to offer a month long "Dine to Donate" fundraiser. From May 1st - May 31st, Chili's will donate 15% of food sales back to our Home and School when you use one of the attached Chili vouchers. All proceeds from this month long event will go towards Home and School's air conditioning fundraiser, textbooks, and other important items for our students! Offer is valid for Dine In or To Go orders. Please share the extra vouchers attached to this dialogue with friends and family. Thank you!
 
Summer Volleyball and Basketball Camps at St. Catherine's - registration forms attached
St, Catherine's will be hosting a co-ed volleyball camp this summer for students in 5th-8th grade. Dates for the camp are July 30 - August 3 and will run from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Julia Fahy, head volleyball coach at Judson University, will be running the camp.Please see the attached flyer for more information and to register your child for the camp.
 
Spartans Summer Basketball Camp will offer a basketball skills program to students entering 2nd - 8th grades. The camp will take place July 23-July 27 and there are three different sessions offered: Junior Spartans for boys and girls entering 2nd- 4th grade, girls entering 5th - 8th grade, and boys entering 5th - 8th grade. Mr. Dagamac, Mr. Ellett, and Mrs. Leadley will be running the camps.
 
Registration for both camps are due back to the school office by June 1st.
 
Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)
Summer is here, but you can still accumulate tuition rebates by purchasing cash and carry scrip cards from the school office. If you are a Presto Pay family, you can purchase ScripNow ecards or ReloadNow anytime 24/7 to accumulate tuition rebates. Our next scrip card order will be placed on Monday, August 28th.
 
To create your own online TRIP account, sign up at https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ and place an order for next week to start earning money towards your tuition. The code to create an account is 2CL3966D181. The only way to continue receiving tuition rebates during the summer is through Presto Pay. If you are interested in activating the Presto Pay option for your account, simply set it up by following the prompts in your account. Once you get a 4-digit code, send it to Sara Wirkus, to complete the process. You can also reload current scrip cards and shop for ScripNow cards online, anytime.
 
Spartan Care position available for next year
We are currently looking to hire someone for our after school Spartan Care program for next year. The potential candidate should be available to work 1 or 2 afternoons per week from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. This is a paid position. Please contact Miss Cannon if you are interested in applying for the job.
