FACTS Tuition Management - *Updated Information*
Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, St. Catherine's will be using FACTS Tuition Management company to manage and process our tuition payments and statements. All families will need to sign up to use this service for their tuition payments. A letter from Miss Cannon was sent out to families last week explaining the details why we are moving forward with a tuition management company. Many of the local catholic schools and high schools are already using FACTS as a way of collecting tuition.
Families will be given three options in setting up their payments: A one time payment in full due in August; two semi-annual payments due in August and January; or a monthly payment spread over a ten month period beginning in August and ending in May. Book Fees and Technology Fees will still be due in July. Payments will need to be linked to a credit card or a checking account. An enrollment fee with FACTS is required for families choosing the monthly or semi-annual payment. Families choosing the option to pay the tuition in full in August will not be required to pay an enrollment fee.
A link to FACTS Tuition has been set up for our families on both Schoolspeak and our homepage www.st-cath.net. We will need all returning school families to register with FACTS by Friday, May 11th so that we have time to set up the accounts before billing begins in July. Families will need to be current with their tuition from this school year in order to register for FACTS. If you have questions about how to register or would like more information about FACTS, please contact the school office or Miss Cannon.
*Update* - We have now partnered with FACTS to offer families the option to complete the FACTS Grant and Aid Application for financial assistance. Families interested in seeking aid will need to complete the online application in its entirety and Fr. DeBlock will review your application and determine the amount of aid to be awarded to the applicant. This process will help Fr. DeBlock make a more informed decision when deciding on financial assistance. Miss Cannon emailed a letter to families last week which explains in greater detail the Grant and Aid application process. Please review Miss Cannon's letter to see if applying for the grant or aid may be something you would like to consider for your family.
Join the fun at Bingo Night tomorrow night!
Bingo is back at St. Catherine! We will have an exciting and fun Bingo Night on April 28 at 5:30 in the St. Catherine school gym for adults 21 and over. But, there is no need for a babysitter! There will also be kids bingo and other kids activities in the school lunchroom. Come out and join us tomorrow night!

Used Uniform Sale on May 30th - flyer attached
The school will host an end of the year uniform sale on Wednesday, May 30. It will be held in the school lobby from 8:00 until 3:30 p.m. We are looking to sell uniform jumpers, skirts, spiritwear, and gently used sweatshirts. We will not be taking any boys uniform pants or shirts for this sale. Uniforms should be dropped off by Tuesday, May 29th. Please make sure to clearly label each item with your name and the amount you are asking and complete the attached form to turn in with your items.
St. Catherine's Vacation Bible School - flyer attached
Come bring your friends and head to St. Catherine's Vacation Bible School starting on June 4 and continuing through June 8 from 9:00 AM - Noon. Kids  will develop a new appreciation for the Catholic Mass and will deepen their love for Jesus in the Eucharist through faith teachings, catchy music, fun games, crafts, and more! Registration forms were sent home with students today and are due back by Friday, May 18th. Please make sure to register your child soon as spots fill up very quickly!
7th and 8th Grade Dance at St. Joseph's Tonight
St. Joseph's Catholic School will be hosting a dance tonight, Friday, April 27 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm for all students in 7th and 8th grade. Formal attire is required and students must bring their school ID for entry. The cost for admission is $5.00 and snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase. For more information, please see the attached flyer.
St. Catherine's Athletic Award Night - May 3rd 
We would also like to invite all school families in 4th - 8th grade to attend our annual Athletic Awards Ceremony at 6:30 pmnext Thursday night, May 3rd. Students who participated in Cross Country, GVB, BVB, GBB, and BBB will be recognized. We will also be sharing highlights from our 2017-2018 athletic season. Please mark your calendars for this very special night!
Van's Frozen Custard "Dine and Share" - May 3rd 
St. Catherine's Athletic Program has partnered with Van's Frozen Custard in East Dundee for a "Dine and Share" Day on May 3rd from 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM.15% of all sales will be given back to St. Catherine's Athletic Program. Please be sure to mention St. Catherine's when ordering. No flyer is needed. Please tell your family, friends, and neighbors too!
Chili's "Dine to Donate" during the month of May  
St. Catherine's Home and School has partnered with Chili's Restaurants in West Dundee, Algonquin, and South Elgin to offer a month long "Dine to Donate" fundraiser. From May 1st - May 31st, Chili's will donate 15% of food sales back to our Home and School when you use one of the attached Chili vouchers. All proceeds from this month long event will go towards Home and School's air conditioning fundraiser, textbooks, and other important items for our students! Offer is valid for Dine In or To Go orders. Please share the extra vouchers with friends and family. Thank you!
Summer Tutoring with Mrs. Herman - flyer attached
Mrs. Leah Herman is offering individualized summer tutoring for St. Catherine of Siena students in grades K-5. Mrs. Herman previously taught at St. Catherine's as the 4th grade homeroom teacher and as our Reading Resource teacher. May lunch orders
The link to place your child's May lunch orders is now closed and payment on your child's lunch account is now due. Payment can be made by check or cash and should be sent to the school office. Accounts must be paid in full by May 4th in order to ensure your child will continue to receive their ordered lunch without interruption. If you have a question about the current balance on your account, please contact the school office. 
As a reminder, hot lunches will not be served during the last week of school and we will not offer a hot lunch option on Thursday, May 24th as that will be our all school picnic day. Student Council will be providing a hot dog lunch for all students and staff on that day. 
Variety Show Tryouts - flyer attached
Get your act together and tryout for our annual variety show! The show will take place on Thursday, May 31 at 1:00 p.m.Tryouts will take place on Tuesday, May 8 from 3:05 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the school gym. Past performances have included: singers, dancers, skits, gymnastics, Tae-Kwon-Do, piano solos, bands and more. Please email Mrs. Johnson at johnsonmp@st-cath.net if you will be at tryouts. Education Commission Meeting Minutes - attached
St. Catherine's Education Commission meeting was held last Wednesday, April 18th. It was the last meeting for the current school year. For more information about what was discussed, please see the attached minutes from the meeting. 
Dundee-Crown vs. Jacobs Charity Alumni Game
Come see the best alumni basketball players from Dundee-Crown take on the best alumni players from Jacobs in a cross town rivalry that will bring together generations of the area’s best basketball players. This classic will take place on Saturday, May 12 at the Dundee-Crown High School Main Gym. The Women’s Alumni Game will take place at 6:30 p.m., and the Men’s Alumni Game will take place at 8:00 p.m. Get your team colors ready and support your team! There will be an award for the “Best Super Fan” from each side awarded in between games. The cost for attending the games is $5.00 per person. Kids 2 and under are free.

Dundee Crown Summer Camps  
Dundee Crown High School hosts several camps throughout the summer for students in 2nd grade through high school. Please see the attached flyer to see if any of the camps might be of interest to you or someone in your family.

Spring Craft and Vendor Fair at St. Catherine's on May 6th
St Catherine's is hosting a Spring Craft and Vendor Fair in the school gym on Sunday, May 6th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. The show will offer lots of opportunities to purchase handmade gifts and items from several local vendors. Please mark your calendars for this very special event!
St. Edward Central Catholic Art Festival April 29 Open to the Public
The public is invited to a Fine Arts Festival on Sunday, April 29 , from 3 – 6 p.m., at St. Edward Central Catholic High School, 335 Locust St., Elgin.

St. Edward Central Catholic students will display their artistic, fashion, musical and culinary talents during the event. Art viewing will be held from 3 – 4 p.m., followed by a fashion show of clothing made by students from 4 – 4:30 p.m. The St. Edward Central Catholic vocal ensemble and band performances will take place from 4:30 -6 p.m. Guests can nosh on sweet treats created by St. Edward Central Catholic culinary arts students.

The Fine Arts Fest is an opportunity for the community and elementary school students to see the fine arts opportunities St. Edward Central Catholic provides. The St. Edward Central Catholic fine arts department includes Director Mrs. Jackie Tabbert, and St. Edward Central Catholic alumni Ms. Maddie Richmond and Mr. Chris Jones.

Last Week to order Flowers for the Youth Mission Trip - Flyer attached
April showers bring May Flowers - and what gardener doesn't love flowers! St. Catherine's Youth Mission Team are currently taking orders for flowers, vegetable plants, hanging baskets, and other beautiful plants. Orders will be delivered on Wednesday, May 9th, before Mother's Day, so they would make a great gift for Mom or the gardener in you!
To place an order, please download the order form which is attached to this Dialogue and return the form along with the payment to the school office. Orders can be dropped off in the parish and school offices or after all Masses this weekend. All proceeds will support our summer mission team. Many of our St. Catherine alum are participating in this trip. Thanks for your support!!
Spartan Care position available for next year
We are currently looking to hire someone for our after school Spartan Care program for next year. The potential candidate should be available to work 2-3 days per week from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. This is a paid position. Please contact Miss Cannon if you are interested in applying for the job.
