Please consider joining members of our parish and community for a flag and prayer vigil on Saturday, November 11th from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. We are looking for volunteers to Stand for Vets as a way to remember and honor our servicemen and women. We will meet on the North side of the school, along Route 72, with our flags to show our respect and heartfelt gratitude for all those that have served our country. Anytime you can give during the day would be greatly appreciated. Please consider making this a family event. If you are able, please bring a flag from home if you have it. The chapel will also be open during this time for anyone who would like to offer prayers for our military and their families.

Illinois Tax Scholarship Information
On August 31, 2017 the Illinois Legislature approved the Invest in Kids Act , which created an income based tax scholarship program to allow low income students more choices in education. These K-12 scholarships are based on financial need, not how well a child does in school. With this new legislation, families are able to choose to enroll in a non-public (private) school with scholarship money available for tuition and necessary fees starting on January 1, 2018. For more information about this program, please click on the following link: www.ceorockford.org . This scholarship has strict parameters for low income families.

Notification of absent students
As a general reminder to parents, when a child is ill or unable to attend school, the parent is to notify the school office by phone or e-mail before 9:00 A.M. For the safety of your child, it is imperative that we receive this information each day your child is absent. Written or e-mailed excuses stating the reason and dates of the absence(s) are required of all absentees. This note is to be given to the teacher on the first day back. Thank you!
