Illinois Tax Scholarship Information
On August 31, 2017 the Illinois Legislature approved the Invest in Kids Act , which created an income based tax scholarship program to allow low income students more choices in education. These K-12 scholarships are based on financial need, not how well a child does in school. With this new legislation, families are able to choose to enroll in a non-public (private) school with scholarship money available for tuition and necessary fees starting on January 1, 2018. For more information about this program, please click on the following link www.ceorockford.org . This scholarship has strict parameters for low income families.
Lunch site reopened through today
It has come to our attention that many families missed ordering lunches for their children the week after Thanksgiving. Lunches will be available on Monday, November 27th - Thursday, November 30th.  If you missed placing an order for these lunch days, the link has been reopened for that week so that you may place an order. Orders must be placed by Friday, October 27th as the site will then be closed to any further ordering after that date.
Family Fun Night Recap
A heartfelt thank you to the Krenz and Clooney families and all the 2nd grade families who helped to organize this year's Family Fun Night! We had an amazing turn out and everyone had a wonderful time. It was so much fun to see so many cars decorated for the Trunk or Treating! Congratulations to our raffle winners, Krystal Urena winner of a $100.00 gift certificate donated by Elle Salon and Ricardo Garay winner of a month's tuition donated by Amy Home Services. Thank you Elle Salon and Amy Home Services for your support of our school!
Notification of absent students
As a general reminder to parents, when a child is ill or unable to attend school, the parent is to notify the school office by phone or e-mail before 9:00 A.M. For the safety of your child, it is imperative that we receive this information each day your child is absent. Written or e-mailed excuses stating the reason and dates of the absence(s) are required of all absentees. This note is to be given to the teacher on the first day back. Thank you!
Volunteers Needed for Girls Volleyball Tournament
St. Catherine's will be hosting the 7th and 8th grade Girls Volleyball Conference Tournament Friday, November 3rd through Sunday, November 5th. This tournament is a great way to raise funds for our Athletic program but it does require a lot of volunteers to cover all the games. Even if you don't have a child currently playing volleyball, please consider signing up to cover a game or two. It's a great way to get involved, help our athletic program, and see some really fun competitive volleyball. You can also help cheer on our Spartans to victory! If you are interested in signing up to work at the tournament, please click on the following link. Thank you!  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0948a9ac2aa2fd0-2017
