Office will be closed from June 30th - August 7th

Congratulations to the following students who received special recognition during the graduation ceremony:
The Claire Motyl Academic Award was awarded to Raymond Alvaro and Isabella Mangahas for showing a good Christian attitude toward their teachers, classmates, and the St. Catherine of Siena School and Parish Community. Students receiving this award must consistently show a positive attitude toward learning, demonstrate above average achievement, and consistently model a Christ-like life.
The Domel Award is presented to the boy and girl in 8th grade who have achieved the highest cumulative GPA for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade during their years at St. Catherine's. The Domel Award this year was awarded to Joshua Nordan and Julia Heffelfinger. 
The Christian Athlete Award was awarded on our Athletic Award Night to Ella Niehaus and Drew Smith. The Christian Athlete Award is given to the 8th grade boy and girl who display leadership, sportsmanship and fair play as well as athletic ability. The students who receive this award display these qualities in the gym or playing field as well as the classroom. He and she lead by example and are all-around participants, displaying ability in more than one sport. He or she need not be the star player, but a team player, one who gives to the team and therefore, to the school.
Congratulations to all of these students!

5th Annual Parish Picnic 
Please join us on Sunday, June 11th for our annual parish picnic. It will begin with an outdoor Mass at 11:30 followed by a picnic lunch which will include a pig roast, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, kid activities, beer tent, DJ and Karaoke, and a bouncy house. Please bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share. Hope to see you there! 
Tuition and Lunch Payments now Due
Tuition and lunch payments for the 2016-2017 school year are now due. Please remember, you are always able to set up monthly tuition payments through your SchoolSpeak account for easy automatic payments. Credit cards are accepted for use through the online option. Payments can also be mailed to the school or dropped off during our summer office hours. If you have questions about your statement, please contact the school office at 847-426-4808.
Thank you from the 8th Grade Families
The 8th grade class would like to thank the 7th grade families for the wonderful reception that was provided after that Graduation Mass last Friday. We are very grateful to all the families who helped to organize such a special and thoughtful evening for our families. We would also like to thank Mrs. Garrigan, Mrs. Link, Father DeBlock, Father Gow, and all the teachers and staff of St. Catherine's for preparing our children to move on to high school. We are very thankful for the time and dedication you have given to our children!
Field Day Thank You!
We would like to thank all the volunteers, and our 8th grade alumni, who helped run all the games for our students during our Field Day this past Wednesday. A very special thank you to Susan Tilkian and Jen Lancaster for co-chairing the event and planning all the activities. A great time was had by all! 
Uniform Alterations
Do you have a uniform jumper or skirt that is in need of some repairs or alterations? If so, please contact Mrs. Oskorep. For a small fee she can repair or replace zippers, or do other alterations to help extend the investment of your child's uniform. Mrs. Oskorep can be reached at oskorepc@st-cath.net.

We would like to say thank you and best wishes to Mrs. Christy Lipinski as she leaves St. Catherine's to return to school in the fall. Mrs. Lipinski has been one of our Kindergarten aides for the last two years. We wish her all the best in her new endeavors! 
St. Catherine's Basketball and Volleyball Camps - Flyer Attached
St. Catherine's will be offering two camps this summer for students. Coaches from Topflight Volleyball will once again run our volleyball camp which will take place July 31 - August 4. Mr. Brian Dagamac will be offering a basketball camp for students during the week of August 7 - August 11. A registration flyer for the basketball camp is attached to this Dialogue. A registration flyer for the volleyball camp will be sent out to families via email within the next week with more details.
Letter from D300 regarding bus service for 2017-2018
Dear Principals,
The purpose of this email is to advise you that beginning with the 2017/2018 academic school year, the bell time for all D300 middle schools will change. School will begin and end 10 minutes later. The new bell time is 8:55 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. This means that you can expect your buses to arrive 10 minutes later than they did this past school year, both morning and afternoon. Routing won’t be completed until the week of August 1 (as normal) and post cards with student specific information will be mailed to homes on August 7 . Feel free to contact me with any questions.

St. Edward's Summer Camps - Flyer attached

Please register soon for Vacation Bible School DISCOVERY MISSION, June 12-16, 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon for children in grades Pre-K through 6th. Registration forms were sent home with students last week but are also attached to this Dialogue. St. Catherine's Variety Show
Thank you to Mrs. Johnson and all of the students who performed for us in this year's variety show! Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful talents with us! The show was amazing!
Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)
Summer is here, but you can still accumulate tuition rebates by purchasing cash and carry scrip cards from the school office. If you are a Presto Pay family, you can purchase ScripNow ecards or ReloadNow anytime 24/7 to accumulate tuition rebates. Our next scrip card order will be placed on Monday, August 28th.
To create your own online TRIP account, sign up at https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ and place an order for next week to start earning money towards your tuition. The code to create an account is 2CL3966D181. The only way to continue receiving tuition rebates during the summer is through Presto Pay. If you are interested in activating the Presto Pay option for your account, simply set it up by following the prompts in your account. Once you get a 4-digit code, send it to Sara Wirkus, to complete the process. You can also reload current scrip cards and shop for ScripNow cards online, anytime.
