Summer Send Off Event! - Permission Slip attached
We have had such a great response to our new "Summer Send Off" event!! This is a school wide event and all students who will be in attendance on Monday, May 22 must have turned in a permission slip with payment by Monday, May 15th to participate.  We are also asking that the students bring in a pair (or more) of shoes to donate to the shoe collection for our youth ministry shoe drive. If you have any questions, please contact the school office. 

St. Catherine's Athletic Program
With the end of the school year comes an end to our athletic program for our 2016-2017 school year. We would like to take a moment to thank all the parents who volunteered so much of their time and efforts this past year to help coach and run the program for our school and students!
 
We would especially like to thank Bob Acevedo and Bill Dooley for stepping into the role of Co-Athletic Directors this year. We thank them for all of the time and effort they put into the program and are very grateful for all they have done for the school. Both Bob and Bill will be stepping down from the AD position at the end of this school year.
 
We would like to introduce and welcome Mr. Brian Dagamac as the new Athletic Director for our school beginning with the 2017-2018 school year. We are very excited to have him as part of the Athletic program here at St. Catherine's! If you are interested in being a part of the athletic board for next year, please reach out to Mr. Dagamac or contact the school office.
 
New Ministries are Coming to St. Catherine's Parish!
If you have been feeling an urge to become more involved at St. Catherine’s, but were not sure what you wanted to do, we have some great new options for you! We are bringing back three ministries and starting one new ministry. We are looking for people who want to help establish and participate in these ministries. They include:
Greeters before each weekend Mass

Sunday Nursery during Mass

Hospitality Treat Table one Sunday/month

Parish Mentoring Program for our new parishioners

We hope to start these ministries as soon as possible. Home and School 2017-2018
Our Home and School Board is currently looking to fill several positions for our 2017-2018 school year. If you are interested in helping our school raise funds and organize fun, fellowship activities for our school families, please contact our current Home and School president Gina Griffin at gina.griffin@yahoo.com. This is a great way to get involved, meet lots of new people, and help make a difference for our school! Our next Home and School meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16 at 7:00. All are invited to attend!
 
Bus Service Information - Flyer attached
Thursday, May 25th will be the last day bus service will be available for our students for this school year. Please make sure to have alternate transportation arrangements for your child(ren) beginning Friday, May 26th.
 
D300 will still provide afternoon bus service for the 2017 - 2018 school year. If your child is currently riding the bus or if you are interested in bus service for next year please complete the attached bus form and return it to school by Friday, May 19th. In order for students to be eligible for bus service they must live within certain D300 school boundaries. If you have any questions about the bus service, please contact the school office.
 
Danny Blatz Memorial 5K Run/Walk Sunday, May 21, 2017
Come join us to remember Danny and raise money for a good cause. All proceeds from this event will go to Learning Disabilities of America (LDA). The 5K Run/Walk will wind through the Hills of West Dundee and the Tartans Park neighborhood. Registration and race packets will be distributed at Huffman Park on race morning starting at 7:30 AM. Race will start at 9:00 AM. Race fees will increase by $5.00 on race day so sign up early! Please register at www.signmeup.com and select "Find Event", type in the last name Blatz and IL for the state. Thank you!
 
Variety Show Tryouts Wednesday, May 17th - Flyer Attached
Get your act together and tryout for our annual variety show! Tryouts will take place on Wednesday, May 17 from 3:05 PM - 4:15 PM in the school gym. Past performances have included singers, dancers, skits, gymnastics, Tae-Kwon-Do, piano solos, bands and more. Please email Mrs. Johnson if you will be at tryouts to let her know what type of act you have planned. All students form PreK3 - 8th grade are welcome to participate. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Show will take place on Thursday, June 1. Times will be posted at a later date.
 
May Lunch Orders
As a reminder, payment for May lunch orders is now due. Payment can be made by check or cash and should be sent to the school office. Thank you!
 
Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)
With Memorial Day and graduation parties right around the corner, now is a great time to take advantage of our TRIP program to earn money towards your tuition bill. Families can purchase gift cards for use with many local vendors such as Jewel, Woodman's, Walmart, Target, Barnes and Noble, AMC, Meijer, Panera, Starbucks, etc. and many other stores all which give a rebate percentage back to you. 
 
Create your own online TRIP account by signing up at https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ and place an order for next week to start earning money towards your tuition. The code to create an account is 2CL3966D181. Our next TRIP order will be placed on Monday, May 15th. Please have your TRIP order payment in the school office by 9:00 AM on Monday, May 15th. You can also reload current scrip cards and shop for ScripNow cards online, anytime.
